FITNESS DECLARATION

Do we need any of our own equipment?

You WILL need to bring some of your own gear.

Horseback riding: We strongly suggest long pants, boots with a heel (preferably western riding boots), a light rain jacket, an extra, warm shirt or light coat, and a hat to keep the sun off.

Back Country trip: Bring a warm sleeping bag, your favorite pup tent if you have one. Bring your personal items like a toothbrush, grooming items, camp soap, and a towel. Be sure you bring any medicine you take a let your guides and hosts know about your medication and any special requirements you have before you head into the backcountry. You should have a change of clothes. Weather in the mountains can change VERY quickly. Temperatures can vary 40 degrees F. from day to night so be sure to have a wool sweater or shirt and wool socks in your repertoire. There are some good modern fabrics that work well but nothing as good as wool. Bring a rain jacket. Once you are in camp you may want to put on some warm comfy shoes…so bring an extra pair!

Do I need experience to ride?

Not all of our rides require experience. Contact us to arrange an equine adventure commensurate with your comfort level.

Are All Activities Guided?

Yes all horseback adventures, hunting, and on-site activities are joined by our guides.

Do I Have To Wear A Helmet?

For all participants in equine activities 18 years of age or older a helmet is optional, but recommended. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a helmet to ride. If you have your own helmet we suggest you use it for best fit.
